Terms of sale
The conditions that apply when you buy an Accessilo licence.
These Terms of Sale apply to every purchase of Accessilo licences on accessilo.com. By completing a purchase you accept them. Please read them together with our Refund policy and Privacy policy.
1. Who we are
Accessilo is sold by Visiodot, Via degli Alpini 1, 37010 Pastrengo (VR), Italy, VAT no. IT04612480238 (“we”, “us”). Email: [email protected], phone: +39 045 245 6042.
2. What you buy
Accessilo is a WordPress plugin developed by Visiodot and sold exclusively on accessilo.com. The plugin code is released under the GNU General Public License v2 or later (GPL). What you buy from us is the licence: it gives you:
- access to the plugin download in your account;
- a licence key that enables automatic updates in WordPress for the number of sites included in your plan;
- support by email for the duration of your plan.
Plans differ only in the number of sites on which you can activate the licence key: Personal (1 site), Agency (10 sites) and Unlimited (unlimited sites). White label is included with the Agency and Unlimited plans.
The plugin keeps working without an active licence key. The licence key controls access to updates and support, not the operation of the plugin on your site.
3. Yearly and lifetime licences
Yearly licences include updates and support for 12 months and renew automatically every year at the price shown at the time of renewal, unless you cancel the renewal before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account; the licence then stays active until the end of the period already paid.
Lifetime licences are a single payment. “Lifetime” means the lifetime of the Accessilo product, that is, for as long as we continue to develop, sell and support Accessilo. It does not mean the lifetime of the buyer or of the buyer’s business, and it does not guarantee that the product will be developed or supported indefinitely.
4. If Accessilo is discontinued
We plan to develop Accessilo for a long time. However, we may decide to discontinue the product, for example for technical, legal or economic reasons. In that case:
- we will announce the discontinuation by email to active customers and on accessilo.com at least 30 days in advance, where reasonably possible;
- we will make a final version of the plugin available for download;
- updates and support for all licences, including lifetime licences, will end on the announced date;
- the plugin will continue to work on your sites, and under the GPL you may keep using and modifying the last version you downloaded, for as long as you wish;
- lifetime licences are not refunded, in whole or in part, because of a discontinuation; yearly licences purchased or renewed in the 30 days before the announcement can be refunded on request for the period not used.
The same applies if the product is transferred to another company: we may transfer your licence and our obligations to the new owner, who will continue to honour them.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euro. Visiodot operates under the Italian flat-rate tax scheme (regime forfettario): no VAT is charged (art. 1, paragraphs 54–89, Law 190/2014). Payments are processed securely by PayPal, including payment by card. Promotional codes apply only if entered at checkout and only within their stated limits.
6. Delivery
The plugin is digital content. It is delivered immediately after payment: you receive a confirmation email and you can download the plugin and find your licence key in your account.
7. Refunds and right of withdrawal
You can get a full refund for any reason within 15 days of your purchase, as described in our Refund policy. This voluntary guarantee is more generous than the statutory right of withdrawal for digital content and does not limit your legal rights as a consumer. After a refund the licence key is deactivated.
8. Support and updates
Support is provided by email and through our support form in English and Italian, on business days, for questions about installing, configuring and using Accessilo. We release updates when we consider it appropriate; we do not guarantee specific features, release dates or compatibility with every theme, plugin or future WordPress version.
9. Accessibility and compliance
Accessilo helps you improve the accessibility of your website: it offers visitors an accessibility menu and helps you find issues with automated WCAG checks. No plugin can make a website fully compliant with WCAG, the European Accessibility Act or any other law on its own. Compliance depends on your content, design and code and remains your responsibility as the website owner. Information on our website and in the plugin is general information and not legal advice.
10. Licence keys, brand and acceptable use
The GPL applies to the plugin code. It does not apply to your licence key, to our update and support services, or to the Accessilo name and logo. Licence keys are personal to the buyer: you may not resell, share or publish them, or use them on more sites than your plan allows. Installing the plugin on your clients’ sites as part of your services is allowed within the limits of your plan. Modified or redistributed copies of the code may not use the Accessilo name or logo and are not eligible for updates or support. We may deactivate licence keys used in breach of these terms, after informing you by email.
11. Liability
We provide Accessilo with reasonable care and skill. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, revenue, data or business opportunities, or for claims made against you by third parties, and our total liability arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the licence concerned in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights that consumers have under mandatory consumer protection law, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we change our plans or when the law changes. The version accepted at checkout applies to each purchase; changes that affect existing licences will be communicated by email in advance.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you can bring proceedings before the courts of your place of residence. For business customers, the court of Verona (Italy) has exclusive jurisdiction. If you have a problem, please write to us first at [email protected]: we will do our best to find a solution.
